In case you have not heard, former Terp Stefon Diggs has been doing pretty well in the NFL. In his third season in the pros, Diggs came into today with four receiving touchdowns and 70.3 receiving yards per game, both very solid numbers.
On Sunday, Diggs enjoyed a DMV homecoming, playing at FedEx Field.
Diggs had 78 yards and a touchdown on four receptions as the Vikings won 38-30.
The highlight of the day for Diggs was when he burnt cornerback Josh Norman for a 51-yard reception, coming just short of a touchdown.
Last season Diggs had 13 receptions and 164 yards playing at Washington. It would be fair to say returning to his home state motivates Diggs to produce some big games.
In the 2015 draft, the Redskins opted to draft wide receiver Jamison Crowder in the fourth round, while Diggs fell to Minnesota in the fifth round. Entering Sunday, Diggs had more career yards, receptions and touchdowns. Maybe you should have taken the hometown kid.
