Six Maryland men’s lacrosse players were selected to All-Big Ten teams

Six Maryland men’s lacrosse players were selected to All-Big Ten teams on Tuesday.

Attackman Matt Rambo, midfielder Connor Kelly and defender Tim Muller were named First Team All-Big Ten. Rambo, who also won Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year following a 33-goal season, was a unanimous choice.

Kelly tallied 15 of his 28 goals during Big Ten play, earning him his first-ever conference season recognition. Muller, the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, made the all-conference team for the second consecutive year.

Meanwhile, defensive midfielder Isaiah Davis-Allen, attackman Colin Heacock and midfielder Tim Rotanz were tabbed Second Team All-Big Ten.

Davis-Allen, a preseason First-Team All American, collected 35 ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers this season.

Heacock and Rotanz finished third and fourth on Maryland in points, respectively.

Behind their six All-Big Ten selections, the Terps (10-3) went 4-1 in conference play, earning the No. 1 national ranking. They’ll play Penn State in Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday during the first round of the conference tournament.
