Maryland athletes are never ones to shy away from trends. Terps are fearless, after all.
From track stars and volleyball players belting it out in carpool karaoke to starting their own trends (see Jared Nickens and Jaylen Brantley popularizing the running man), the Terps know how to make a viral video.
This time, Maryland baseball is joining the party. Junior outfielder Zach Jancarski has perfected the water bottle flip.

He makes 17 nearly flawless tosses in the span of the minute and a half video, with the help of teammates Jamal Wade, AJ Lee, Brian Shaffer and Kevin Smith. And the outfielder lands some impressive throws – in the shower, on a player’s stomach and while biking, to name a few. Terps wrestling has also found Twitter popularity last month with their version of the Mannequin Challenge, which includes some pretty amazing balancing acts.
It’s about time the #Terps???? joined the #MannequinChallenge party ???? pic.twitter.com/0iFkvOFdgs — Maryland Wrestling (@TerpsWrestling) November 8, 2016
Although Terps baseball took almost the same number of L’s as they did W’s last season, and Terps wrestling has only had one win in their four team meets, here’s hoping their water bottle talents and mannequin skills can lead them to success.
