Maryland football had a good day Saturday, beating Rutgers 31-13 to secure a spot in a bowl game.
It got even better for quarterback Caleb Rowe.
Rowe proposed to his girlfriend, Sarah Molina (a former Terps soccer player) on the field after the victory, and he’s now engaged.
Congratulations to Caleb Rowe on his post-game proposal to former @TerpsWSoccer player Sarah Molina!

Coach DJ Durkin said he knew Rowe planned to propose but didn’t give him any tips on how to go about it.
“I did not coach him on the proposal. I was aware of it,” Durkin said. “I was kind of running late getting in here because I did watch it out on the field. I was watching it from my office, and it looked like she said yes, but no, I didn’t coach him on it at all.”
Durkin said this was the first time he’s ever had a player propose after a game.
You can watch a video of the proposal here. It’s pretty awesome.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this happen. A Boise State football player did the same after their crazy overtime Fiesta Bowl win.
Congrats, Caleb.
