The Office of Civil Rights and Sexual Misconduct is investigating after a suspect in a campus parking lot solicited a male student to be in a sexually explicit film, according to a University of Maryland Police report.
A male suspect driving a red four-door vehicle approached the student between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Thursday in a parking lot near Xfinity Center and the Varsity Apartments, the report read. The driver asked the student if he was interested in modeling, and then asked him to enter the car, according to police.
When the student was inside the vehicle, the driver asked him “questions of a sexual nature, soliciting him to be in a sexually explicit film, and touched his thigh,” the report read.
The report described the suspect as a black man with a medium complexion and very short blond hair. He also has a high pitched voice and long fingernails, and wore a dark baseball cap, clear glasses with large lenses, and a large red ring on his right hand, according to police.
The Office of Civil Rights and Sexual Misconduct is investigating the incident. The Diamondback will provide updates as more information becomes available.
