Halloween came to the University of Maryland in style Friday. Students, faculty and staff alike showed up bright and early to classes in their best costumes — including pirate attire, funky wigs and enough face paint to cover the Sistine Chapel. Scroll through the photos below to see the best costumes that made their way across the campus.

1) The McKeldin Library staff went all-out this year with a wild mix of characters. We’ve got everything here from Princess Leia to Colonel Sanders to Mad Max — a true representation of the diversity on the campus.
