In 1975, the Terrapins men’s lacrosse team beat Navy, 20-13, to claim its second NCAA Championship — the program’s first came in 1973. 1975 also proved to be the last time the Terps would win an NCAA title.

Maryland last made the tournament finals in 2012 before losing to in-state foe Loyola Maryland.

Now the No. 6-seed Terps have a chance to break their 40-year drought this Memorial Day when they play No. 4-seed Denver on Monday at 1 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
