Dressing up as an athlete for Halloween is pretty common at colleges all across the country, but a student at University of Maryland made his costume more realistic than most.
Instead of just putting on a Maryland basketball jersey and calling it a day, junior Brett Stark, a neurobiology and physiology major, dressed up as an off-court Melo Trimble.
Taking some inspiration from the point guard’s Instagram account, @bstark5 was able to replicate Trimble’s style pretty effectively.
And to make things even better, the players on the Terrapins’ men’s basketball team thought it was hilarious.
Trimble and teammates Dion Wiley, Michal Cekovsky and Andrew Terrell all commented on the picture, voicing their support in various ways.
While it’s clear on Instagram, his identity wasn’t as obvious to some of the people he saw on Halloween night.
“To be honest, a lot of people thought I was a European DJ, but once I pointed out the Maryland basketball t-shirt and the belt buckle, they got it,” Stark said.
