Sunday morning saw two unrelated crimes take place in the immediate vicinity of the campus, and police are looking for suspects in both.

Sexual Assault

Police are looking for a man who forcibly sexually assaulted a female student at 12 Fraternity Row early Sunday morning.

Between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m., the student victim brought the man to the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority house where he forced himself upon her, police said.

The victim went to the sexual assault clinic at Prince George’s Hospital Center following the incident, university police spokesman Paul Dillon said.

The suspect is described as a white male between 5’9 and 5’10, 180 to 190 pounds, with medium-length brown hair, unshaven facial hair and brown eyes. He was blue jeans at the time of the incident.

Dillon would not comment on whether the victim knew the suspect, but did say the attacker did not forcibly enter the house.

Robbery

Two men were robbed early Sunday morning by four suspects on the 7400 block of Baltimore Avenue after one of the victims lent a suspect his cell phone, police said.

One of the suspects approached the victims at about 3:40 a.m. on Route 1 between Knox and Lehigh roads and asked one of the men if he could borrow a cell phone to make a call. Once he hung up the phone, the suspect punched the first victim in the face without warning, according to Prince George’s County police.

Another suspect allegedly approached the second student victim from behind and removed items from his pocket. The other two attackers assisted in the theft of the cell phone. All attackers fled the scene on foot.

None of the victims was seriously injured, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
