The Terrapins tennis team lost to Georgia Tech on Sunday as its ACC struggles continue. The Terps have dropped six of their past seven matches.

The No. 20 Yellow Jackets (7-4, 4-2 ACC) clinched the doubles point to earn an early 1-0 lead. The Terps (5-7, 1-6) couldn’t respond and were dealt their third straight shutout, 7-0.

Coach Daria Panova has kept her singles lineup consistent at the top five spots in the past three matches, while Olivia Gaudrealt and Olga Gaistruk have split time at the final singles position.

Alexandra Stanova’s win drought was extended to eight straight matches. She is not alone, however, as every player has been defeated in at least their past three singles matches with the exceptions of Gaudrealt and the injured Cassandre Thebault.

The Terps are now 0-6 against ranked teams this year.

They will finish up their four-match homestand next weekend with matches against No. 2 Duke and UMBC on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
