Alex Aust has won ACC Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row. This week she was named co-honoree, sharing it with North Carolina midfielder Kara Canizzaro.
Aust had another exceptional week for the Terps, notching 19 points on 11 assists and four goals.
Aust had a historic performance against UMBC on Tuesday, tallying 11 points on seven assists and four goals. The seven assists were good for a program record, and her 11 points fell one point shy of the Terps’ record.
Then on Saturday against Penn State, Aust secured another four goals along with four assists to lead the Terps in their 20-10 rout.
The attacker’s 51 points leads the nation. She has led a Terps offense averaging 17.86 goals a game, good for first in the country.
