If you were browsing Twitter on Friday afternoon, you’d know that Terrapins freshman defensive tackle Adam McLean, a former four-star recruit and one of the top players in Randy Edsall’s 2015 recruiting class, is no longer enrolled at the University of Maryland.

But the departure of a player who has been a key member of the #DMVtoUMD recruiting movement doesn’t appear to be permanent.

But you don’t have to take Haskins’ word for it. Not long after reports came out, McLean took to Twitter to reassure fans they haven’t seen the last of him.

McLean was the Terps’ highest-rated recruit in the class of 2015, according to ESPN, Rivals and 247 Sports.

He tore his ACL senior year at Quince Orchard High School, so he wasn’t expected to play this season anyway. If he’s back for spring ball like he says, he should be on track to be a contributor on the defensive line in 2016.

Looks like Maryland fans can breathe a sigh of relief on this one.
