Gluten-free lava fudge cupcake
Finding a good gluten-free dessert is always a worthwhile challenge. It’s a lot of trial and error, but one of D.C.’s hotspots is helping us out — Georgetown Cupcakes has started to make gluten-free cupcakes.
The menu is enough to make anyone’s mouth water. All of the pictures of the cupcakes make me want to go there everyday. I never thought there would be any options for me to eat at a cupcake place, but then I was introduced to the gluten-free lava fudge cupcake.
I can assure you, the cupcake is delicious. This is the only gluten-free cupcake the shop has now, but hopefully more are in the works.
Unfortunately, there are no vegan friendly cupcakes. The kitchen is also not a nut-free kitchen, so those of you with nut allergies should be careful if ordering cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake.
It isn’t always easy to get to Georgetown or Bethesda, where another one was opened, but the shop delivers. You can place your order online and get it delivered to your dorm. You can count on its delivery too, because I got mine during Hurricane Sandy.
