A Shuttle-UM bus struck a college-aged male bicyclist just before 10 a.m., and he suffered nonlife-threatening injuries, officials said.
The incident occurred on Stadium Drive in front of the Computer and Space Sciences Building, said University Police spokeswoman Sgt. Rosanne Hoaas.

Sophomore criminology and criminal justice and psychology major Arielle Aboulafia was walking back from class with a friend when she heard someone swearing loudly, she said.
A bicyclist was in the right lane on Stadium Drive, next to a Shuttle-UM bus in the left lane, she said. The bicyclist was trying to make a left turn.
“I heard a metal crash and some skidding, and I heard screaming,” Aboulafia said. “I initially looked away because it was extremely frightening.”
Aboulafia said about 40 to 50 people crowded around the bus as she called 911. The man didn’t look like he was moving, she said.
“As I was making the third call, I saw him moving under the bus,” she said. “I told everyone to put their hands on the bus, and we lifted the front end so the kid could scoot out.”
Police were on the scene almost immediately, Aboulafia said.
The affiliation of the man is unknown, Hoaas said.
Medics transported the man to a local trauma center, and he remained conscious and alert, Brady said.
