Maryland football coach DJ Durkin threw out the first pitch at Wednesday night’s Baltimore Orioles game.

Durkin’s appearance at Camden Yards came shortly after the first-year coach was in Chicago for Big Ten Media Days on Monday and Tuesday.

Men’s and women’s basketball coaches Mark Turgeon and Brenda Frese threw out first pitches in June.

Durkin was one of three college football coaches slated to throw out first pitches Wednesday, joining Pittsburgh coach Pat Narduzzi and Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh.
