Maryland basketball coaches Mark Turgeon and Brenda Frese threw out ceremonial first pitches before the Baltimore Orioles played the Boston Red Sox Thursday night.

Turgeon went with the old fashioned fastball; it was a bit up in the zone but a solid pitch nonetheless. He said before the big moment that he used to pitch in middle school, and that’s obvious after watching that toss.
Frese threw what appears to be an attempted eephus pitch. She ended up bouncing it to the plate, but you’ve got to love the idea. She said the “last time I did this was in ’06,” so we’ll cut her some slack.
They came out to the ballgame with a few men’s and women’s Maryland basketball players.

You can tell Jared Nickens and Damonte Dodd were nervous for their coach/in need of a restroom/extremely bored.
