A man entered a woman’s College Park apartment early Saturday morning and raped her, according to a University of Maryland safety notice.
Prince George’s County Police are investigating the incident, which took place on the 4500 block of Fordham Lane.
A woman reported that she was sleeping at 5:30 a.m. when she realized she was being sexually penetrated. Thinking at first it was her boyfriend, she said his name but received no response. The victim then reached for his hair and realized it was not her boyfriend in the bed.
The victim made a noise and the suspect fled the apartment, according to the report. The door to the building and apartment were unlocked at the time of the incident.
The suspect was described as a man wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants.
