Police are investigating an assault with a weapon that took place off the campus Friday night and left a man wounded, according to a University of Maryland safety notice.
At 8:15 p.m., University Police were alerted of an assault involving a knife that took place at a commercial building at the 8300 block of Route 1.
University Police were joined by Prince George’s County Police in response to this incident. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a wounded man who was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
Police were unable to find the suspects, who were last seen fleeing on foot north on Route 1.
