And the Chipotle saga continues.

For those who don’t already know, Chipotle released a delicious discount burrito deal Monday. The Mexican grill franchise offered anyone with a mobile device a free burrito if they texted “RAINCHECK” to the number 888-222.

After texting the code word, users were prompted for their first and last name, as well as their zip code.

But don’t plan a lunch date just yet — the coupon for this mouthwateringly free burrito won’t arrive for a few days.

Perhaps the burrito chain was feeling generous … or Chipotle management is just really smart and wants to gain customer’s trust (and money) back after the recent E. coli outbreak.

Some customers weren’t able to snag their guacamole or cilantro-infused fix for the day as Chipotle restaurants nationwide closed Monday until 3 p.m. for a companywide safety meeting, which comes about three months after E. Coli cases surged in October.

So keep your eyes on your phones, people, as we all prepare to welcome Chipotle back into our lives and our stomachs — for free.
