Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place off the campus Friday afternoon, according to a University of Maryland safety notice.
Prince George’s County Police responded to a report of commercial armed robbery at 7201 Baltimore Ave. that took place at about 2:45 p.m. Two male suspects armed with handguns entered the store, took property and fled the scene.
The two men were last seen driving east on Guilford Road toward the College Park Metro station, according to the report. The suspects are still at large.
Police had urged people in the area to be alert and stay away from the scene, but they have since issued an “All Clear” for this case.
