The Terrapins football team picked up another highly-rated recruit Saturday afternoon.
One of the top recruits in Maryland, DeMatha offensive guard Terrance Davis, committed to the Terps over Florida and Michigan during the Under Armour All-America game in Orlando, Florida. Davis, a consensus four-star recruit, is one of five Terps commits playing in the game joining quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr., wide receiver Tino Ellis, offensive guard Richard Merritt and linebacker Keandre Jones.
According to 247sports, Davis is the top player in the state while Rivals and ESPN have pegged him one of the top five players in Maryland.
Davis will join an offensive line unit that already has a couple of former highly regarded recruits in redshirt sophomores Damian Prince and Derwin Gray. Both played in the Under Armour All-America game and were four or five-star recruits according to various outlets.
The Terps new coach DJ Durkin continues to stockpile talent. Merritt was Durkin’s first announcement commitment.
