Black Ops
Tomorrow’s Terrapins men’s lacrosse game at Loyola has the attention of the nation’s lacrosse community.
The contest pits the No.1 Greyhounds against the No. 2 Terps. It’s a rematch of last year’s national championship, when the Greyhounds beat the Terps, 9-3, and will be broadcast nationally on NBC Sports network. Two days ago, Loyola athletics tweeted that over half of the student body has already reserved tickets for the game.
It’s a big-time event. And in big events, this university is known to pull off big-time looks. Tomorrow will be no different.
The Terps will wear Under Armour Black-Ops uniforms for the game, scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m. The uniforms pair black shorts with black jerseys, using a highlighter yellow outline.
Sure, you’ll take a look at them, but you might miss the Maryland-flag design in all black on their shoulders and the back of their shorts. Numbers are outlined in bright yellow, while “Maryland” appears in relatively small, red letters just above the jerseys.
The cleats? They’re all black with highlighter yellow laces.
Now, though, the focus turns to the field. It’s not going to be easy for the Terps’ performance to outshine their looks tomorrow. But they’ll give it a try.
