Jason’s Deli
When people want to eat healthy, they generally don’t think of sandwiches due to all of the bread. However, at Jason’s Deli it doesn’t have to be an issue. You can find plenty of healthy foods that are still delicious.
I know a favorite healthy choice at Jason’s is the salad bar. With three different lettuces and all different sorts of veggies and toppings, as long as you don’t go too crazy on the salad dressing, it is a great, healthy meal that fills you up.
To help you out, Jason’s also lists on the menu what options help you “Eat Lite,” including sandwiches. Wheat wraps are great because they are healthier than regular white bread and just as tasty. One of the options I would highly recommend is the Savvy Chicken Salad Wrap.
It’s a lower sodium option and with almonds to accompany the chicken salad, it’s sure to give you an energy boost and keep you full. The greatest bonus might just be that the whole wrap is 354 calories and has just three grams of saturated fat, but no artificial trans fat.
If you just want to sit down and order a salad instead of making one, there are still great healthy options. Each salad has the options of lighter portions or no dressing.
In the Nutty Mixed-Up Salad you get grapes, raisins and organic apples along with the cheese, nuts and optional chicken. With all of the flavors from the fruits you won’t even realize you don’t have dressing.
Jason’s also has a “Lighter Portion” menu, which highlights all of the smaller portioned meals. Even better than sandwiches, there are pasta dishes. The lighter zucchini garden pasta is only 300 calories, and it’s still delicious.
Just because you are on a low carb diet, you shouldn’t stop eating at Jason’s Deli. There are still plenty of great choices that will fit into your diet and get rid of your hunger.
