Graham Zusi, Midfielder, Sporting Kansas City

Skinny: Zusi assisted on Sporting Kansas City’s goal in a 1-1 tie against Nicaraguan club Real Estelí F.C. on Tuesday night. Zusi hit a low corner kick to the near post and teammate Jacob Peterson did the rest, scoring the equalizing goal in the 78th minute. Zusi’s corner kicks were a danger all night. Earlier, in the 54th minute, C.J. Sapong nearly scored on a header off a Zusi corner, only to be denied by Real Estelí’s goalkeeper. Kansas City is still in the first place in their CONCACAF Champions League group. The CONCACAF Champions League is a regional club competition between teams in North and Central America; the first place club in each three-team group advances. Kansas City just needs to get a tie in its next game to advance. Still, Zusi was not pleased with the team’s performance.
Omar Gonzalez, Defender, Los Angeles Galaxy

Skinny: Gonzalez cost the Galaxy a win Saturday. The Galaxy tied D.C. United 2-2. Gonzalez, the last Galaxy defender back, was trying to control a bouncing ball in the 39th minute when D.C. midfielder Chris Pontius stripped him, rounded Galaxy goalkeeper Jamie Penedo and scored. In a post-match interview, Gonzalez admitted his mistake saying, “Obviously, I need to not be so lackadaisical there.”
Zac MacMath, Goalkeeper, Philadelphia Union
2013 stats: 29 GP, 29 GS, 2610 minutes, 10 shutouts, 83 saves, 39 goals against
Skinny: MacMath made one save Saturday in a 1-0 loss to the Houston Dynamo. The Union has been held scoreless in the past three matches.
Ethan White, Defender, D.C. United
2013 stats: 13 GP, 12 GS, 1009 minutes, 0 goals, 0 assists, 3 shots, 0 yellow cards, 0 red cards
Skinny: White played all 90 minutes of United’s 2-2 draw with the Galaxy Saturday. White has started United’s last two matches after not playing in three straight games.
Taylor Kemp, Defender, D.C. United
2013 stats: 7 GP, 5 GS, 440 minutes, 0 goals, 0 assists, 1 shot, 0 yellow cards, 0 red cards
Skinny: Kemp posted on Twitter on Monday that the foot injury that has kept him out of action since Aug. 17 has healed. However, the former Terp may be out for a little bit longer while he attempts to get back in shape.
Casey Townsend, Forward, D.C. United

Skinny: Townsend did not play Saturday. He hasn’t seen the field for United since July 12.
London Woodberry, Defender, FC Dallas

Skinny: Woodberry missed Saturday’s 2-1 loss to FC Dallas Saturday. Woodberry hasn’t played in an MLS game since June 1.
