Chipotle Mexican Grill
It’s a dream come true. Students in College Park will soon be able to satisfy their burrito cravings by ordering one to be sent right to their front door.
Chipotle announced Tuesday it will start delivering to 40 colleges, including the University of Maryland, later this fall via a new delivery partnership with the Tapingo app. This number will grow to 100 campuses by the spring.
How is this going to work? Download Tapingo, pay a minimum $2.99 service fee and order. Tapingo reports a 25-minute delivery time, on average, according to a news release.
“Our network of students is hungry for Chipotle, and we’re excited to deliver it quickly and at a very reasonable delivery cost,” said Daniel Almog, chief executive officer at Tapingo, in the release.
So far, Tapingo only services six colleges: Arizona State University, California State University Chico, Louisiana State University, University of Arizona, University of Southern California and Northern Arizona University.
