Maryland men’s lacrosse attackmen Colin Heacock and Matt Rambo, as well as defensive midfielder Isaiah Davis-Allen, were named to the 2017 Tewaaraton Award watch list Tuesday night by The Tewaaraton Foundation.

The three preseason All-Americans join a list of 50 candidates for the annual honor, given to the nation’s best player.

Rambo and Heacock rank first and second, respectively, on the team in points, and Davis-Allen ranks third in ground balls.

Heacock, Rambo and Davis-Allen have helped make the Terps one of the top programs in the country over the past three seasons. The senior trio has advanced to three Final Fours and two national championship games while compiling a 49-11 (.817) overall record.

The group needs just seven wins to break the Maryland record for victories by a senior class.

This season, No. 1 Maryland has won its first four contests, including a victory over No. 8 Yale on Saturday. Dating back to last season, the Terps have taken their past 15 regular season games.
