Trailing by four strokes and in fourth place after two rounds, junior Kelly Calkin shot a two-under-par round of 70 to clinch the individual title at the Napa River Grill Cardinal Classic women’s golf tournament.
Calkin shot the only under-par round out of any of the 79 players in the final round to win her first collegiate tournament.
The Terps beat every other team on the final day by at least nine strokes to move from sixth to third.
Also for the Terps, Kate Stepanek finished tied for 12th and Jessica Reno finished tied for 17th.
