Prince George’s County Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place near the University of Maryland’s campus on Saturday, according to a UMD alert.
The robbery took place on Knox Road between Hopkins Avenue and Dickinson Avenue between 2:30 a.m. and 3 a.m, according to the alert.
A group of men were walking down Knox Road when they approached a university student and another man with no affiliation to ask a question, according to the alert. The student and man were then robbed at gunpoint and their property was taken.
University of Maryland Police were notified of the incident at about 10:48 a.m, according to the alert.
