Page 9 in yesterday’s Diamondback was a page from the wrong newspaper. The company that prints The Diamondback, Southern Maryland Printing in Waldorf, made a mistake and printed page 9 of George Washington University’s student newspaper, The GW Hatchet, where The Diamondback’s page 9 was supposed to be.

Southern Maryland Printing, owned by The Washington Post Company, prints several college newspapers including Johns Hopkins and George Washington universities. The Diamondback has been printed by this company for more than 12 years, and in that time a mistake like this one has never occurred. The company has been unable to explain the mix-up.

Page 9 was supposed to have the jumps from two football stories that started on page 12 in yesterday’s paper and a story about a weekend field hockey game. Those three stories can be found in full on page 14 of today’s paper.  They were correctly published on the website.
