Terrapins football offensive coordinator Mike Locksley received a three-year contract extension worth more than $600,000 per year, according to a CBSSports.com report.
The deal makes Locksley one of the highest-paid assistants in the Big Ten. Both of Michigan’s coordinators — Doug Nussmeier (offensive) and Greg Mattison (defensive) — reportedly make upwards of $800,000.
Locksley is also one of the nation’s top recruiters and helped the Terps pull in highly touted offensive lineman Damian Prince in February.
The Terps also extended defensive coordinator Brian Stewart’s contract in January.
