University of Maryland Police took a suspect into custody after multiple reports of burglaries Sunday night.
Shortly after 6 p.m., police went to Elkton Hall to investigate a suspicious person.
A female entered two unlocked rooms in Elkton Hall that were occupied, according to a UMD alert sent at 11 p.m. She talked to residents inside each room before leaving.
Later in the evening, she entered an unlocked room in South Campus Commons 6, stole property and left, according to the alert.
Officers found the female, who has no affiliation to this university, and determined she was the person from Elkton Hall from earlier in the day.
Police took her into custody for processing.
