On last night’s episode of Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show, the university’s chapter of Delta Gamma got a special shout-out — for exactly the reason you think.
During an opening segment on the Senate’s recent vote against the Manchin-Toomey gun control legislation, Stewart referenced an email by a Delta Gamma sister that went viral on the Internet yesterday. The email, which blasts sisters for a subpar Greek Week performance with their Sigma Nu matchup, is laced with profanity and has been viewed millions of times since Gawker.com and Deadspin.com published it.
Stewart, quoting one of the email’s most-popular lines, called senators who voted against the gun control legislation “c–t punters.”
“I think that’s trademarked by Delta Gamma,” he said.
