Women’s lacrosse’s Brooke Griffin named ACC Offensive Player of the Week

Following Sunday’s hat trick, midfielder Brooke Griffin has been named ACC Offensive Player of the Week.

Griffin, an Edgewater native, turned up the intensity for the Terrapins women’s lacrosse team’s 15-6 victory over rival Duke. She tallied her first goal of the game after a combination of spin moves left a Duke defender reeling with 16: 57 left in the first period.

All three of Griffin’s goals came in the middle of a 7-0 Terps run that set the pace of the matchup. In addition, she tallied two assists, one ground ball and one draw control.
