The Maryland women’s basketball team jumped one spot in the AP Top 25 to No. 10, entering the top-10 for the first time this season. The move comes following victories over Rutgers and Nebraska in the past week.
The Terps have been ranked in 149 consecutive AP polls. They spent the entirety of last season in the top-10, but began this season at No. 15 after losing several key players to graduation and transfers.
Despite two early-season losses to top-five teams, Maryland (20-3, 9-1 Big Ten) has rebounded by winning 18 of its last 19 games, the only blip being a home loss to Michigan State in January.
Maryland will play as a top-10 team for the first time Thursday with a chance at redemption against the Spartans (14-10, 4-7) in East Lansing.
