The Maryland women’s soccer team’s 2017 schedule includes home contests against two of the three teams that shared the Big Ten regular season title last season in Penn State and Minnesota.

In coach Ray Leone’s second season at the helm, Maryland will host nine matches at Ludwig Field. Last year, the Terps won just one home game en route to a last-place conference finish.

Coming off a 3-15-1 record, the Terps will start their campaign with home bouts against Drexel on Aug. 18 and Navy on Aug. 20 before traveling to face Gardner-Webb and Furman the following weekend.

Maryland finishes its non-conference slate with games against Richmond, George Mason and William & Mary.

The Terps begin Big Ten action at Rutgers before visiting Illinois and Northwestern. Their conference home opener comes on Sept. 29 against Wisconsin. Then, they’ll host Minnesota, travel to Nebraska and Iowa, and play a three-game homestand against Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan State.

Maryland, which brings in the nation’s No. 25 recruiting class, concludes its campaign at Purdue on Oct. 25.
