Maryland women’s basketball freshman phenom Destiny Slocum hit a buzzer-beater to end the first half from deep. Like, way beyond the three-point arc. Slocum lifted the ball above her head and chucked it from 3/4ths of the court and nailed the shot.

Let’s just say Brenda Frese’s squad was ecstatic about the shot.

The Terps went on to beat the Mountaineers in commanding fashion, winning 83-56 on their home court. Destiny Slocum scored 21 points and dished out eight assists in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Terps will play the winner of Duke/Oregon next weekend in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
