A Bethesda resident who’s attended the University of Maryland has been reported missing, according to Montgomery County Police.
Alexander Ashy, 21, was last seen in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor on Sunday, wearing a tie dye shirt, according to a news release. He is a white man, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes, according to the release.
Ashy was enrolled at this university from the summer 2015 through fall 2017 semesters, university spokesperson Jessica Jennings wrote in an email. His LinkedIn page listed him as an architecture major. Ashy graduated from the Landon School in Bethesda in 2015.
According to a Facebook post shared by Ashy’s family, when seen in Baltimore, he had little money and no phone or ID, and had said he wanted to “walk to Canada”
The Facebook post said Ashy may be in need of health services.
