Electronic pop-rock duo Sylvan Esso will play at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., on July 26 as a stop along their Summer Tour 2018, promoting their September 2017 album What Now.
The pair, consisting of vocalist Amelia Meath and producer Nick Sanborn, released a self-titled debut album in 2014, featuring notable tracks “Hey Mami” and “Coffee.” Their second album, What Now — home to the explosively upbeat single “Die Young” — was nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 2018 Grammy Awards and peaked at #32 on the Billboard 200 Chart.
Indie/R&B singer Moses Sumney will open the show for Esso. Sumney’s debut album, Aromanticism, dropped in September 2017, and The New York Times highlighted it as one of the best projects of the year.
Tickets for the July 26 concert, which is general admission, range from $40 to $60 and can be purchased here. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show set to begin at 8 p.m.
