University of Maryland Police is seeking public assistance in their search for 21-year-old Kaitlyn George, according to a University Police press release.
George was last seen by her roommates at Allegany Hall at 4 p.m. on Thursday, according to the release. Her friends said that she was supposed to be meeting up with another friend to go hiking.
George is 5-foot-3-inches tall, weighs 121 pounds and has hazel eyes and blonde hair. She last seen wearing black leggings, a green long-sleeved jacket and bright-colored, mid-calf socks, according to the release.
It is possible she was carrying a black and white camping backpack as well as a green canvas bag, according to the release.
As of Sunday evening, police do not suspect foul play, and are continuing to investigate, University Police spokeswoman Sgt. Rosanne Hoaas said.
Police are also considering the possibility that George may have left campus on her own accord, Hoaas added.
