Three days after former Terrapins football defensive coordinator Scott Shafer stepped down, coach DJ Durkin has filled the position with Andy Buh, according to multiple reports.
Buh served as the outside linebackers coach at Kentucky this past fall, and was promoted to special teams coordinator in March.
Shafer, a former Syracuse head coach who was hired in early December, stepped down Friday due to personal reasons.
Buh worked under Shafer in 2007 as a linebackers coach at Stanford. Durkin was on that staff as a defensive end and special teams coach, too.
