Marylanders are known for their affinity with the geography of their state. You can see the outline of the funky shape all over UMD and elsewhere, on shirts, hats, jewelry, etc.

Walmart wanted in on the action. Unfortunately, something went a bit wrong.

The discount chain defended themselves to the end, though.

Not sure if they’re making a case for the shape, or trying to explain how the designers got confused.

This further clarification didn’t help. Keep trying, Walmart.
