University Police reported an armed robbery in a neighborhood in south College Park near ZIPS Dry Cleaners and Paisano’s Pizza Sunday night.
The robbery, reported at Wake Forest Drive and Guilford Road, involved two males armed with a black handgun, the 8:22 p.m. UMPD alert said. They are not in custody.
The men were last seen running toward Calvert Road.
A 9:17 p.m. update said police cleared the scene. The men were still not in custody.
Police advise people to stay away from the area. The alert gave no indication whether this armed robbery was related to another earlier in the evening, which was reported in the 8100 block of Baltimore Avenue near The Varsity.
