Terrapins football defensive line and assistant coach Greg Gattuso was named coach at Albany on Monday.
Gattuso spent three years as defensive line coach and the past two years as assistant coach on coach Randy Edsall’s staff. The Terps produced NFL defensive linemen Joe Vellano and A.J. Francis under Gattuso’s tutelage.
Before coming to College Park, Gattuso spent six seasons at Pittsburgh working with defensive linemen, tight ends and recruiting. He also coached Duquesne for 12 seasons.
The Terps are scheduled to play Marshall in the Military Bowl on Dec. 27 in Annapolis.
