Terrapin soccer coach Sasho Cirovski released the 2007 season schedule yesterday, a slate including 12 teams from last season’s NCAA tournament. The Terps’ 18 opponents had a combined record of 211-111-38.

Highlighting the schedule are trips to Indiana, Duke and Wake Forest, as well as home games against Clemson, Virginia Tech and Virginia, all of which were NCAA tournament teams last season. Two of those schools, Wake Forest and Virginia, played in the College Cup.

The Terps have 12 home dates to challenge the season attendance record they set last season for the university, when they drew 40,907 fans, the second-highest total in the country. The Terps’ per game attendance of 2,727 ranked third nationally.

The Terps will play Fairleigh Dickinson and Virginia Commonwealth in exhibition games at Ludwig Field before traveling to Indiana on Aug. 31 to start their season. Their first home game is against West Virginia on Sept. 7.

n Terp Note: The Terps will scrimmage St. John’s today at 6:30 p.m. at Ludwig Field. Admission is free.
