Police are investigating a robbery, possibly involving a handgun, at a business near The Varsity Sunday evening, according to a UMD Alert sent at about 7 p.m.
The two suspects, who evaded officers, were last seen heading toward Melbourne Place, the alert said.
Police advise people to stay away from the area. University of Maryland Police are patrolling the area, and Prince George’s County Police are investigating.
A previous alert sent at about 6:30 p.m. said that an armed person was spotted in the 8100 block of Baltimore Avenue.
