Kristi Toliver, Guard, Los Angeles Sparks
2016 stats: 32.2 mpg, 14.4 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 3.9 apg, 0.9 spg, 45.8 FG%
Skinny: The Sparks are atop the WNBA standings with a 16-1 record, and Toliver plays the most minutes on the team. She continued her strong season this week, putting up 13, nine, and 15 points in three Sparks wins. She also had 18 assists and nine rebounds combined through the three games. By most metrics, Toliver is on pace to have the second-best season of her eight-year career.
Marissa Coleman, Forward, Indiana Fever
2016 stats: 26.6 mpg, 7.9 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.2 apg, 0.9 spg, 29.4 FG%
Skinny: Coleman has had a tough season in 2016 and has recently lost her starting spot and seen her minutes decrease. She played no less than 24 minutes in her first 13 games but has played five, 13, and 13 in the last three. She has made some improvements coming off the bench, though, scoring nine points in the Fever’s 95-83 win against Chicago June 29. She scored five points to go with a pair of assists and steals in the team’s 87-85 loss to San Antonio two days later.
Alyssa Thomas, Forward, Connecticut Sun
2016 stats: 25.2 mpg, 10.6 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.5 spg, 49.1 FG%
Skinny: Thomas had a dominant week, scoring 35 points across her two games. She scored 18 points and secured eight rebounds in a loss to Phoenix June 29 and followed that with a 17-point, seven-rebound performance in the Sun’s 86-83 win over Dallas Saturday. She also had an assist in each game.
Crystal Langhorne, Forward, Seattle Storm
2016 stats: 25.6 mpg, 9.8 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 1.1 apg, 0.9 spg, 64.1 FG%
Skinny: Langhorne started the week by matching her season high with 18 points in the Storm’s 84-81 win against Atlanta June 28. Two days later, she scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a loss before finishing the week with a four-point, two rebound game against Atlanta. She had a combined five assists and six steals in the three games but also ran into foul trouble, finishing each game with four fouls after not having more than three fouls in her first 14 games.
Lynetta Kizer, Forward, Indiana Fever
2016 stats: 13.3 mpg, 7.4 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 0.3 apg, 0.6 spg, 51.6 FG%
Skinny: After not starting in any of the Fever’s first 13 games, Kizer has started the last three. She hasn’t seen significantly more playing time, though, and her production hasn’t fluctuated. She scored eight points and had three rebounds June 29 against Chicago, and four points and one rebound July 1 against San Antonio.
Tianna Hawkins, Forward, Washington Mystics
2016 stats: 10.3 mpg, 5.0 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 0.4 apg, 0.2 spg, 50.8 FG%
Skinny: Hawkins scored seven points and came down with three boards in a blowout win against San Antonio June 29. Two days later, she had eight points and three boards in a close loss to Chicago.
Brene Moseley, Guard, Indiana Fever
2016 stats: 9.6 mpg, 1.9 ppg, 0.4 rpg, 1.1 apg, 0.5 spg, 26.1 FG%
Skinny: Moseley was waived on June 20 and is a free agent.
