What to watch for the Terps: Can anyone make a three?
In their season opener against Delaware, the Terps made just two of their 19 three-point attempts. That’s their worst mark in a single game since the Round of 32 against Hawaii back in 2016, when they missed their first 15 shots from deep (and still won!). And they weren’t much better against Navy, going 5-for-23 from beyond the arc. Facing a MEAC team like NC A&T, Maryland shouldn’t be hard pressed to hit a bunch of threes, but Power Five opponents aren’t far away.

What to watch for the Aggies: Who are these guys?
And no, that’s not just because they play for MEAC school. NC A&T held its own last year, finishing 11-5 in conference play and 20-15 overall, but four of the top five scorers have left. Third-year head coach Jay Joyner essentially built the team from scratch this year, bringing in five graduate transfers and several other new faces. The Aggies are still working to fit together as a group, which should give an edge to the Terps (although they haven’t quite jelled yet either).
