Three-star wide receiver Ahmarean Brown committed to the Maryland football team Saturday, becoming the third member of the Terps’ 2019 recruiting class.

Brown attends Thomas Jefferson High School in Tampa and is the No. 70 receiver in the country, according to 247Sports. Brown committed in College Park hours before the team’s Red-White spring game at Maryland Stadium. He also holds offers from Alabama, Michigan, Michigan State and others.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound Brown lacks some size but uses speed and elusiveness to get into space. In high school, Brown has played wide receiver and been featured in the backfield.

Maryland’s 2019 recruiting class moved up to No. 43 in the 247Sports rankings, placing them 10th amongst Big Ten schools. All three commits are three-star recruits.
