Despite winning its first conference series of the season, the Maryland baseball team remains unranked in the Baseball America, Perfect Game and D1Baseball weekly polls. The Terps (15-8, 2-1 Big Ten) have won 14 of their last 17 contests ahead of their second matchup with Saint Joseph’s this season.

The Terps opened the season ranked No. 24 but struggled early against ranked teams. Coach John Szefc’s squad fell to then-No. 12 Louisville in its second game of the season. LSU swept the Terps the following weekend.

Entering their series against then-No. 23 Michigan last weekend, the Terps had just one victory over a ranked foe, a 9-2 win over NC State on March 4. But Maryland won two of three games over the Wolverines.
