The Terrapins softball team could only muster three hits Friday as it fell to No. 4 Michigan, 8-0, in five innings by mercy rule.

Pitcher Hannah Dewey took the loss. She pitched 2 ⅓ innings and allowed two earned runs on three hits, walking four. Kaitlyn Schmeiser and Brenna Nation also saw time in the circle.

Dewey and infielders Corey Schwartz and Juli Strange recorded the Terps’ only hits.

The Terps will face the Wolverines again Saturday and Sunday.
